Nizar Sarhan Dino Rabbit Deck List Review 2012 YCS Dallas Winner

Rescue Rabbit YuGiOh Card Game Photon ShockwaveFinally the biggest deck won a YCS here! It’s been several months since this deck was legal to play, but it never was able to take the championship title. It got close last YCS, but Dark Worlds defeated it.

Congrats to 2 time YCS winner, Nizar Sarhan, for his dominating a field of over 1,100 people with his main and side deck tech choices. He had an epic battle in the finals against the new deck on the block Chaos Lightsworn Dragon. The last YCS Nizar won was YCS Dallas 2011. So being able to defend his Dallas belts just shows you that Nizar is a very talented and skilled player.

Nizar had the basic cards you would see in a Dino Rabbit build. Cards like Kabazauls, Sabersaurus and of course the best card in the deck Rescue Rabbit. These cards help bring out the best controling XYZ monsters, Evolzar Laggia and Evolzar Dolkka.

What made his deck a bit different was the addition of 4 light monsters, 3 Effect Veiler and 1 Thunder King Rai-Oh. Having these light monsters and the 6 dark monsters allowed him to play one of the best top deck cards of all time, Black Luster Soldier Envoy of the Beginning. I’m sure this took his opponents by surprise, since most basic dino rabbit builds do not run BLS.

Playing 3 Effect Veiler might have been a bit much. But understandable since it’s a great card against the Inzektor match. But play 3 Maxx C along side the 3 Effect Veiler I feel was a big gamble. Playing 6 hand traps in an environment where Hero Beat has going to be played a lot. But I guess it worked for him, especially in the mirror matches.

What also was very interesting in his build was the 2 main decked Bottomless Trap Hole. This card use to be a staple in every deck at one point in time. But recently you rarely see it mained or even in side decks. Having access to this card was a great call on his part. Seeing how it’s good against hero beat, rogue decks, mirror match, and dragon decks. Seeing this card being flipped on his opponents monsters must have put a WTF look on their face. Are we going to start seeing Bottomless Trap Hole become a staple again?

So the shocker is he used meta cards? I hate how Dino Rabbits are considered “original” for using broken cards. The second place winner was original. This is just a copy-paste deck.

He’s killing himselfwith the 3 solemns. cut the judgment for a bribe orblack horn or something

@Stuart – I think using some cards that you normally don’t see in a dino rabbit build is good. But you are right about the second place winners deck was original.
Keep playing good Yu-Gi’s!

@Michael He is losing a lot of life by using the solemns, but they are needed in a control deck. Dino Rabbits is a control deck thus they need to be in their.
Keep playing good Yu-Gi’s!

@Edoardo, It should be 41 I imagine. There are a lot of people that run 41.

41 cards is okay if you are using a Tier 1 deck. If a tier 1.5, less okay. 2 or lower, not a good idea.

The side has only 14 cards.

@dylan – sorry. I couldn’t find it anywhere.

Too bad he’s a cheating piece of shit.. That’s the only reason why he won
