I would like to congratulate our team member Frankie for winning our locals Pot Of Dualitytournament. He had a grueling final match against a six samurai deck, it went to the limit of 3 games. But in the end Frankie was able to pull it out and represent team YuGiDojo and also the bragging rights of winning.
Frankie played a unique deck that palyed many different combos. These combos gave Frankie many +1s and contol of the field. He played monsters that would either auto replace themselves on the field (reborn tengu, Dandylion) or allow him to get another monster to his hand to replace it (Card Trooperand sangan) .
He also played some monsters that would allow him control the field and destroy or remove cards on his opponents side of the field (Ryko Lightsworn Hunter and Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress). These same monsters READ THE FULL ARTICLE >>
I may sound like I’m repeating myself here but I’m loving this format. There still is no supreme deck that has taken over the format. As with past YCS’s there have been several new and innovating decks topping. The winner, Traviis Massengale, played a Zombie Plant Choas Reanimator Deck. While the second place, Juan Morales, played a Reborn Tengu Genex Ally Birdman deck. How innovating and new is that?
His deck was really a control deck that got many +1s with all it’s combos. He played the latest released reborn tengu. I don’t have to say anything more about this card. But you should already the answer to this question, Is Reborn Tengu Really That Good Of A Card?
As I have been saying in past arcticles, I’m loving this format. There is no supreme deck that has taken over the format. As with past YCS’s there is a new deck winning, Zombie Plant Choas Reanimator. It was taking down all the popular decks, such as six samurai, gravekeeper’s, x-sabers, etc..
Congrats to 1st time YCS winner, Traviis Massengale, for his dominating a field of over 800 people with his innovative and creative deck. He came up with a stunning control deck using the powers of zombies combined with key plant monsters and a splash of beasts. With those monster types he was able to bring out the mighty Trishula Dragon of the Ice Barrier very easly. Which in most cases means he will win soon!!!
Traviis’s deck list has many interactive cards that once played got him many +1′s and sometime +2′s and +3s. He used the searching powers of the goblins to find and reuse key goblin cards. Such as using pyramid turtle to be able to special summon any goblin from READ THE FULL ARTICLE >>
As you know the new set just came out, Extreme Victory. With it comes a lot of new cards that will change the way we play. But one card that is making headlines is the TCG exclusive and sneak peek promo, reborn tengu
You probably already know this , but reborn tengu is absolutely the shiznits. You tribute it for a tribute summon and special summon another one from your deck. Use it as part of a synchro monster and special summon another one. Attack head first with it into a mirror force or dimensional prison and guess what.. Special summon another one. Get removed by battle, black rose dragon, torrential tribute, etc. it really doesn’t matter how it gets removed from the field, you get to special summon another one from your deck. Now tell me that is not just insane.
The only thing I can think of how you can not getting another one is by nobleman of crossout or phoenix wing wind blast. Since the only situations in which reborn tengu won’t claim its READ THE FULL ARTICLE >>
