Ultimate Pegasus Challenge! Round 1: Robbie Kohl vs. Carlos ValdezUltimate Pegasus Challenge!
Round 1: Robbie Kohl vs. Carlos Valdez

This is the Ultimate Pegasus Challenge: Things will pan out like a regular tournament, except for one problem. The creator of the game is here, and he’s feeling finicky! He’ll be throwing out rule changes on a whim, and all Duelists participating must comply! Darren Dunston, the voice of Pegasus, took hold of the microphone.

“Hello, and welcome to the ultimate Pegasus challenge. It’s all about me! Do you have what it takes?” Pegasus asked. There READ THE FULL ARTICLE >>

Chris Leblanc Geargia Karakuri Deck List Review Winner 2012 YCS Rhode Island

Geargiarmor YuGiOh Card GameI’m loving this format. Each YCS we have seen so far has a new championship deck. We have just witnessed the rise of a new champion, that champion deck is Geargia Karakuri. Different type of Geargia decks have been topping recent YCS’s but the Karakuri version won this YCS!

Congrats to 1st time YCS winner, Chris Leblanc, for his dominating a field of over 1200+ people with his agressive and dominating deck. He had an epic battle in the finals against Chaos Dragons. Being able to make it to the finals in a format that had so many different decks in the top 32 shows that Chris is a very talented and skilled player.

He came up with a Karakuri version of Geargia that worked to get him to the top. The karakuri version seems to be a lot more consistant and opens up many key plays. For one you are not just focused on getting out XYZ monsters. With this version you are now open to some powerful synchro monster, Scrap Dragon. Also READ THE FULL ARTICLE >>

Stop Playing Not To Lose! Play To Win!

Stop Playing Not To WinHave you ever looked over a match you lost and reialized if you were to make a more agressive play you would have won? Maybe you were to concered that your opponent may have that Gorz the Emissary of Darkness or Effect Veiler in thier hand. Or have a set Solemn Warning or Bottomless Trap Hole.

If you have ever realized this, then you need to desensitize yourself to risk.

“Scared playing can’t win.” READ THE FULL ARTICLE >>

Junior Dorcin Six Samurai Deck List Review Winner 2012 YCS Indy

Asceticism of the Six Samurai YuGiOh Card GameI’m loving this format. Each YCS we have seen so far has a new championship deck. We have just witnessed the fall of a champion in the finals and the rise of a old champion. That champion deck is Six Samurai. It defeated the reigning wind-up deck in the finals.

Congrats to 1st time YCS winner, Junior Dorcin, for his dominating a field of over 800+ people with his agressive and dominating deck. He had an epic battle in the finals against wind-ups. Being able to make it to the finals in a format that has so many different decks in the top 32 shows that Junior is a very talented and skilled player.

He came up with a previous YCS championship deck that used the mighty samuri monster, both legendary and grand. The deck was probably not on peoples radars coming into the event so he had a somewhat of a surprise factor going for him. I sure everyone never thought about six sams as a contender. They were all probably concerned about those pesky wind-ups. READ THE FULL ARTICLE >>

Grandsoil the Elemental Lord YuGiOh Card GameAll I have to say is WOW! I have to give it to Jeff, he seems to always come up with some new innovative decks. He is truely one of the best deck minds in this game today. And it showed with him coming in second at YCS Toronto.

Congrats to 2 time YCS winner, Jeff Jones, for his dominating a field of over 1,700 people with his surprising and dominating deck. He had an epic battle in the finals against wind-ups. He’s no stranger to high level competition, he has won 2 YCS. And now being able to make it to the finals again, just shows you that Jeff is a very talented and skilled player.

It’s amazing that he actually had his deck list posted online the day of the event. So if you had to play against him, and you read his article, you would have know his entire deck. There was 2 minor tweaks to the deck, but most of the meat and potatoes of the deck was the same.

Check out why he played this deck and his card choices below.
