Season: March 2013 – Post LORD OF THE TACHYON GALAXY
“Dragon Ruler” is a series of Dragon-Type Effect Monsters comprised of two smaller groups: Level 7 monsters whose ATK and DEF always have a sum of 4600, and lower-Level monsters that act as miniatures of the Level 7 monsters.
The “Dragon Rulers” all share three peculiarities: “If this card is in your hand or Graveyard: You can banish a total of 2 monsters and/or Dragon-Type monsters from your hand and/or Graveyard, except this card; Special Summon this card.” “During your opponent’s End Phase, if this card was Special Summoned: Return it to the hand.”, “When this card is banished: Add 1 Dragon-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use 1 effect per turn, and only once that turn.”, and a variable effect that triggers upon sending it and 1 other corresponding Attribute monster from your hand to the Graveyard.

Most of the cards in this archetype are Spell Cards. The exception is “Spellbook Magician of Prophecy”. There are numerous support cards like “Spellbook of Life” that cannot use them for their effects, nor can they help you get or use them. “Prophecy” cards usually specify a “Spellbook” Spell Card in which they are also excluded. However “Spellbook of Secrets” is an exception, as it does not specify a Spell Card specifically, so it can still search them out.
Due to these cards searching each other out, they can be useful in Deck Thinning. Additionally, due to their effects benefiting Spellcaster-Type monsters, these cards can easily be used in a Spell Counter-based Deck for massive amounts of Spell Counters to be created. Also cards such as Spellbook of Judgment can be used to replenish your hand full of spellbook cards after you have used many during that turn.

Season: March 2013 – Pre LORD OF THE TACHYON GALAXY
Brotherhood of The Fire Fist Deck
This deck is a fierce faternal deck. The Fire Fist’s are all about utility. They search a lot and destroy a lot, and have easy access to Rank 4 Xyz. They are a VERY VERY easy deck to play, as well as powerful, very similar to Blackwings. The straightforwardness of this deck will draw you to it.
Bear is easily the best monster in the deck. He +1′s for you every time you inflict damage, and is a toolbox for your Fire Formation Spells (which in turn can toolbox for your monsters). If that wasn’t enough, he can destroy ANY monster by sacrificing one of your Fire Formation cards. He is a very annoying card to deal with.
As of right now, Fire Fist literally have no weakness in themselves. There are no side deck cards which shut them down entirely. They are so consistent it’s kind of disheartening at times.

This is a deck that has made a huge impact on the format. It has many top spots at the recent YCS’s. It even has come in second in 2 YCS’s. This new deck is Mermail Atlantean.
This is one of those decks that you will have to be fearing from here on out. It comes on strong and keeps a hold on its strong position. If you don’t know already, it combines Mermail monsters and Atlantean monsters. The Mermails discard the Atlanteans and then use the Atlanteans effects to either destroy a card on the field or search for another powerful card. While not really losing any board or hand position. It’s a scary thing to look at!!
The ability to be able to use synchro monsters and XYZ monsters makes this already powerful deck into a super power house deck.
