Tyler Tabman Wind Up Deck List Review Winner 2012 WCQ Nationals

Wind Up Rabbit YuGiOh Card GameWind-up’s Win! Wind-up’s Win! The Wind-up deck wins the North American Nationals! All I can say is WOW! I’m sure many of you thought this deck was dead. And that is the reason why it won!

Congrats to 1st time WCQ winner, Tyler Tabman, for his dominating a field of over 1,700 people with his surprising and dominating deck. He had an epic battle in the finals against the mirror. He’s no stranger to high level competition, he has topped the last 2 YCS. And now being able to make it to the finals and winning just shows you that Tyler is a very talented and skilled player. Good Luck in Japan!!!

He came up with a deck that we all put in the attic. It use to be one of the top 3 decks we all made sure they we where prepared for. We had main deck and side deck cards just for this deck. That deck is none other than Wind-Up’s.

This was a good meta call on his part. Wind-Up’s have not been part of the meta for so long that people even took out their side deck cards for it. We all know what the number 1 card to fight against this deck is, Maxx C.

Tyler ran a traditional wind-up deck that included Wind-Up Factory and Wind-Up Magician. The pluses he gained over his opponents with those two cards was just to much to come back from. And if he just so happened to get the loop going, it’s a quick game over!

What he did have included in his deck that surprised me was the 2 copies of Instant Fusion. Since the last time we saw Wind-Up’s we have gotten some newer Xyz monsters,Temtempo the Percussion Djinn, and easier access to Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon and Tiras, Keeper of Genesis. By adding these 2 Instant Fusion he was able to instantly get a level 5 or 3 fusion monster on the field. Thus allowing him to be able to Xyz into a powerful Xyz moster and keep control of the field.

His side deck was focused on what is considered the top 3 decks, Chaos Dragons, Dino Rabbit and Inzektor. He had the regulars, Snowman Eater and Shadow Imprisoning Mirror. But I guess he was making sure he was prepared for the mirror cause he had copies of Maxx C too.

I think we may start to see this deck come back a bit. Then when everyone starts to main and side for it, it will be put in the attic again. Waiting to come out and surprise everyone again when they least expect it!!

Check out Tyler’s entire main, extra and side deck below.

I thought he had a sangan. I remember seeing one when he gave his deck profile.

Continuation, the monster count to that list is 20, but it says 21, so all you have to do is add the one sangan. Hope this helps ^^

commenter

Actually only 41 cards, there’s only 20 monsters.
